The Trans Pyrenees is an out and back race across the Pyrenees from the same organisers as the Trans Continental which has become the pinnacle of unsupported ultra cycling races. I was invited to be one of the two photographers covering the second edition of the race, over just shy of seven days. The days were long and weird food choices were made, but there were mountains, there was all kinds of weather and the riders were brilliant. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I’ll do it all again the moment someone asks me.
