North Norway: Seasons of Sun and Snow is photographer Liz Seabrook’s ode to the Arctic North, made in collaboration with publisher Fare Folk and the Norwegian Tourism Board. Shot over four years, this nearly 400-page hardback book chronicles the lives, traditions and cultures of local communities, spanning deep winter through to midnight summer sun and golden autumn days.

As someone who’s a stubborn multi-discliplinarian, the process threw so many fun challenges my way: freediving and shooting underwater both for the first time, no time to recce locations, only natural light to work with, and being beholden to the weather and – in some cases – animals. I feel extremely grateful to have had the trust of all involved to bring this book to life.
